Texas Consultancy Firm Selects Strategic Advisor

Dallas, TX-based 1st Global, a research and consulting partner to CPA and wealth management firms, has appointed Carl George as a strategic advisor to the company. Through his company, Carl George Advisory, George will provide general consulting and strategic advice to 1st Global and its CPA firms on areas including governance, professional oversight, operations, leadership and succession, and mergers and acquisitions. George, who recently retired from CliftonLarsonAllen, will join Dr Arthur Laffer and Dr Harry Markowitz on 1st Global’s advisory board. George also served for 16 years as chief executive of the CPA firm Clifton Gunderson. 1st Global has around 400 affiliations with firms in the tax accounting and legal professions.
